Finally finished a second PLA fireteam

Well, it's taken me long enough, but I've managed to finish the four modern minis I started painting at the beginning of the month.

Now that they're done I don't have much to say about them, other than that I'm slightly annoyed i didn't build up the bases a bit more.

With these done I think I'm one model away from finally trying out Force on Force. Not quite sure what happens if I turn out not to like it...

Anyway, Zomtober starts up again soon, and once again I'm joining in, so watch this space for updates on that!

  1. They look good.

So do you always do the bases first? Why not build them up a bit more?

    1. I only do the bases first if I'm planning particularly ornate bases - these were just a layer of sand as I want them to look like asphalt. Problem is that the sand is too thin. So yeah, should probably build them up more, but it only really became obvious when the bases were painted. Hence annoying.

  2. Looking good, I'm throwing together some 20mm Chinese for my 2nd American Civil War campaign I've got planned.

  3. They look great. You can always try adding a bit more sand. I use milliput to disguise my non slotta figures. You could always try that in future then apply the sand afterwards.
